TIme to Run!

TIme to Run!

This week, we are going to look at all of the moving parts and peices of a run cycle. On the surface, animating a character running down the street seems like an impossible task, but focusing on the core poses will allow us to quickly flush out the overall movement. The Walk Cycle

The Walk Cycle

This week, we are going to continue our exploration of movement by focusing our efforts on all of the moving parts of a basic, human walk cycle. Through this discussion, we’ll learn about the importance of arcs, spacing and poses. Through the study of arcs we will begin to shape the correct path of our movements and establish the proper range of movement for our object. The range of movement will change, from project to project, so this discussion will arm you with the questions you should be asking when presented a new animation to create.
